Dr. Krocke first studied medicine in Bonn and Paris and then worked as a doctor in Barcelona and New York. Dr. Krocke began his industry career as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble. He was responsible for the brands Ellen Betrix, Oil of Olaz, Cover Girl and Always from Frankfurt and London. He entered the investment business at Apax Partners, a leading global investment company specializing in management buy-outs and growth financing. Here he focused on the medical technology, consumer goods, retail and IT sectors. Before founding AUCTUS, Dr. Krocke was the founder and managing director of Wellington Partners in Munich. Together with two partners, he built up an investment company focused on the IT and services sector with fifteen managers and a fund volume of EUR 250 million. Dr. Krocke founded AUCTUS in 2001. Since 2024, he has also been Chairman of the Board of the BVK – The German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK) which is the voice and face of the private equity sector in Germany including 300 members and also taking a strong stand on policy issues and the media.
