Kelly Adels Hess is the passionate CEO of CompuCycle, where she leads the charge in revolutionizing the electronics recycling industry. As the only woman at the helm of a full-service, state-of-the-art, e-certified recycling and processing facility in Houston, Texas, Kelly brings a unique perspective and dedication to sustainability to every aspect of her work.
Under Kelly’s leadership, CompuCycle has become the go-to destination for responsible and secure end-of-life IT asset management, asset disposition, and electronic recycling for all sized companies nationally and globally. Her commitment to innovation has led to the introduction of a cutting-edge, fully automated electronics shredding and plastics plant within CompuCycle’s 130 square foot facility, solidifying the company’s position as an industry leader. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kelly is deeply involved in her community and passionate about making a difference. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Psychology from Southern Methodist University and is an active member of the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA), dedicating over a decade to empowering women entrepreneurs. In her free time, Kelly volunteers her energy and expertise to support individuals living with disabilities. She also serves on numerous committees, including the Board of Trustees for the Emery Weiner School, where she has contributed for seven years. Additionally, Kelly is an active member of Houston’s Gulf State Chapter of YPO (5 years) and lends her insight to the Scholarship Committee for the Jewish Federation of Houston. She also sits on the Advisory Board of American Bank (2 years), as well as the SMU alumni board further demonstrating her commitment to community engagement and leadership.
Kelly has been awarded one of 2019 and 2024 Top Innovators by Innovation Map as well as received Houston Business Journal Top Admired CEOs in 2024. CompuCycle also received Top Family Business Award by the Houston Business Journal in 2023 as well as received an INC5000 award in 2019, 2023 and 2024. Outside of her professional endeavors, Kelly finds joy and fulfillment in her family life, cherishing moments with her husband, Clive Hess, and their two daughters, Zoey and Juliette. With her unwavering dedication to excellence, sustainability, and community impact, Kelly Adels Hess continues to inspire and lead both within her industry and beyond.
